Healing Hands
Allison Rhoden’s remarkable recovery
under the care of the Eghbalieh brothers
Allison Rhoden’s journey through cancer treatment at City of Hope, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a testament to resilience and the power of expert care, particularly when it comes from a team of dedicated physicians like the Eghbalieh brothers. Diagnosed with an aggressive form of colon cancer that later metastasized to her liver, Allison faced a daunting
battle that was made bearable through the efforts of the Eghbalieh brothers.
“When I first received my diagnosis, it was a shock, but Dr. Navid and Dr. Bobby, alongside their teams, crafted a treatment plan that was both reassuring and thorough,” Allison recalls. “Their ability to explain complex treatments in understandable terms made a significant difference.”
Her treatment involved a series of radiation therapies targeted at her liver, skillfully administered by Dr. Navid, followed by a precise surgical resection by Dr. Bobby and Dr. Sammy. “The coordination between them was seamless. It was clear they not only shared a professional rapport but a deep personal trust as
brothers,” she notes.
Allison’s recovery has been nothing short of inspiring. Now leading an active lifestyle, including hiking trips and regular travel, she reflects on her experience with gratitude and a newfound zest for life. “I just came back from Yosemite, and I’m planning my next trip to Prescott, Arizona. I haven’t let this slow me down,” she shares enthusiastically.
“The care I received from the Eghbalieh brothers was exceptional. They took care of my body so thoroughly that I could focus on healing my mind and soul,” Allison says. Her story is not just one of surviving but thriving, thanks to the compassionate and coordinated care provided by the Eghbalieh brothers. She reflects, “I am living proof of how well they work together, and I’m here today because of their incredible teamwork and expertise.”
