Providence Holy Cross Medical Center director of palliative care, Marwa Kilani, M.D., was one of eight clinicians across the Providence South Division to be recognized with the 2023 Philanthropy Physician Champion Award. The award acknowledges select physicians for their commitment to philanthropy and providing outstanding medical care.

Each Providence ministry nominated physicians from their respective organizations to be honored

Marwa Kilani, M.D., grew up at Providence Holy Cross, where both her parents worked, and was immersed in the hospital’s mission from a young age. Today, she serves not only as a medical expert, but as the chair of the Providence Holy Cross Foundation board.

and has diversified and strengthened the board. She’s pioneered new bridges of community
engagement, ensuring that the hospital remain not only a place of healing, but also a cornerstone of excellence for the community it serves.
