“Holy Cross is my family,” says Rene Perez. That close relationship took on an even more crucial role when Rene was diagnosed with COVID-19 — possibly the first case treated at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center.

When Janet Udomratsak was admitted to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center with pregnancy complications on the Fourth of July, she had no idea the hospital would soon become her classroom as well.

Amanda enrolled in the Providence Holy Cross Welcome Baby Program at her prenatal visit as her delivery date was drawing near. Although she and her husband were excited to soon welcome their first child as new parents, they had heightened health and safety concerns for her and the baby due to the emerging pandemic.
