He has been with Providence Health and Services for over fourteen years serving in a variety of roles including the Valley Service Area Chief Medical Officer, the Chief Medical Officer for Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, and the Interim Chief Medical Officer for the Providence Southern California Region for Clinical Quality, Patient Safety and Physician Integration and Alignment. In 2013, he was named Chief Executive for Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. Currently, he serves as the Chair of the Facey Foundation Board and as the Chair of the Hospital Association of Southern California Board of Directors.
Dr. Klein and Julie, his wife of 27 years, have one son and two daughters.
