He majored in economics at the University of California in San Diego and studied medicine at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans. In 2018, he earned his MBA in the Business of Medicine from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Early in his career, Dr. Hoffman practiced both at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center and Providence Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank. In 2007 he became the full-time Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Providence Saint Joseph’s. He played a leading role in designing the Disney Family Cancer Center, where he worked full-time before accepting his current position.
Dr. Hoffman has been a member of the Board of Governors since 2008. He and his wife Yael have two children.
What motivates your desire to give back?
To better serve the communities I work with.
Why are you supporting the medical center?
My interest in medicine is inspired by my father, a prominent radiologist who served at Torrance Memorial Hospital for nearly 40 years.
Why did you agree to join the foundation board?
It combines my passion for business and medicine, to better serve the community.
